REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT WARRANTY

STANDARD WARRANTY

Asber Refrigeration warrants to the original end-user purchaser (“User”) that all Asber-branded equipment (“Equipment”) will be free from defects in materials and factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance, for three (3) years from the date the Equipment is placed into service (the

“Warranty Commencement Date”), but in no case longer than thirty-nine (39) months from the date of shipment. AWRR and AWRF series models carry a one-year warranty, not to exceed fifteen (15) months from shipment. Coverage is limited to the first purchaser; it is non-transferable, applies only within the continental United States and Canada, and—on export sales—is restricted to one-year parts-only coverage.

If Asber receives notice of a defect in material or factory workmanship during the applicable warranty period, it will, at its option, repair or replace the defective component. Asber absorbs straight-time labor for installing approved replacement parts when the work is performed by Asber or an authorized service agent and allows up to two (2) hours of round-trip travel time or 100 total road miles. Overtime, weekend or holiday service, air or ferry travel, remote-area surcharges, and relocation of the unit require prior written authorization.

Beyond the basic term, the sealed compressor is warranted for an additional two (2) years (parts only) from the original installation date, covering defects in workmanship and materials in the sealed system alone. This supplemental coverage does not extend to cabinets, controls, refrigerants, starting components, fan assemblies, or any other electrical or mechanical parts.

All claims must be submitted within thirty (30) days after the defect is—or should have been—discovered, and in any event before the warranty expires. Asber reserves the right to inspect the Equipment on-site at its expense and to review the User’s service and maintenance records to confirm eligibility.

Commercial Use Only — Not for Household Applications:  Any installation or operation of the Equipment in a domestic setting, whether continuous or occasional, automatically voids all warranty coverage; the unit is deemed purchased “as-is, where-is,” with no express or implied warranty (including merchantability or fitness for a household purpose). Service providers may refuse warranty work on units located in residences, and the owner is responsible for all related service costs, parts, and liabilities.

Warranty coverage is further conditioned upon proper installation, unaltered configuration, and strict adherence to Asber’s operating and maintenance instructions, using only Asber-approved parts and authorized service providers. It does not cover supplier-branded accessories that carry their own warranties, minor items such as switches, lights, or fuses, or wear components like curtains or squeeze tubes. Coverage is void if failure results from freight damage, fire, water, misuse, acts of God, unauthorized repair, non-OEM parts, improper installation, removal or alteration of the serial number, or operation on incorrect, low, or unstable voltage or through extension cords. Units sold or operated outside the continental U.S. and Canada are excluded except as noted above.

This warranty is exclusive and is given in lieu of all other express or implied warranties, including any implied warranties of title, non-infringement, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. No additional warranties are authorized unless issued in writing by Asber. Asber shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages—including lost sales, profits, or goodwill—arising from the sale, handling, or use of the Equipment. Asber’s total liability is expressly limited, at its election, to repair or replacement of the Equipment or to refund of the purchase price.

To activate and validate your coverage, register each unit online at asberamerica.com. All service requests must be directed to ONNERA USA at 877-693-3372 or us.service@onneragroup.com and must include the model and serial numbers, installation date, proof of purchase, and a detailed description of the defect; compressor claims additionally require submission of Asber’s compressor checklist.

Asber assumes no responsibility for visible or concealed freight damage. Shipments must be inspected upon delivery, any damage noted on the carrier’s receipt, and all packing materials retained for inspection.

Cancelled orders and returned merchandise are subject to a 25 percent restocking fee, require written authorization, must be made within 30 days of invoice, and the Equipment must be returned freight-prepaid, in its original crate, and in factory-new condition.
