DISTRIBUTION EQUIPMENT WARRANTY
STANDARD WARRANTY
Electric & Gas Steam Tables | Heated/Proofing Cabinets.
Asber warrants its new distribution equipment—including electric and gas steam tables, and heated/proofing cabinets (collectively referred to as
“Equipment”)—to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original date of installation, not to exceed fifteen (15) months from the date of shipment from the factory. This warranty applies only to the original commercial end-user purchaser and is non-transferable. Equipment installed for residential use, or outside the continental United States, is not covered under this warranty.
The liability of Asber under this warranty is strictly limited, at Asber’s sole discretion, to the repair or replacement of any component found to be defective in material or workmanship. Asber will bear all straight-time labor costs associated with the installation of approved replacement parts, provided the labor is performed by Asber or a factory-authorized service representative. Warranty service includes up to two (2) hours of round-trip travel time or 100 total road miles. Any service beyond this limit—including overtime, weekends, holidays, air or ferry travel, or excessive mileage in remote areas—requires prior written authorization from Asber. Asber is not responsible for costs associated with the relocation of equipment for warranty repairs.
Asber warrants that all new machine parts produced or authorized by Asber for use in its distribution equipment are free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the Warranty Commencement Date. If a defect is found within this period, the part will be replaced at no cost. Replaced parts become the property of Asber.
All warranty claims must be submitted within thirty (30) days of discovery of the defect and within the active warranty period. The claim must include the model number, serial number, manufacturing date, installation date, proof of purchase, and detailed description of the defect. Asber reserves the right to inspect the Equipment at the user’s premises and to review all service records in order to verify warranty eligibility and confirm compliance with all terms and conditions.
Commercial Use Only—Not for Household Applications: Any installation or operation of Asber distribution equipment in a residential or household setting immediately voids all warranty coverage. In such cases, the unit shall be considered sold “as-is, where-is,” with no express or implied warranty of any kind.
This warranty does not cover equipment that has been improperly installed, modified, or altered from its original design. It also excludes damage or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, poor maintenance, chemical damage, exposure to unstable electrical or gas supply, or installation that does not conform to Asber’s published specifications. Improper installation or service by unauthorized personnel, use of non-OEM parts, or removal/alteration of the serial number also voids this warranty.
Normal maintenance as outlined in the equipment’s user manual—including cleaning, calibration, adjustment, and lubrication—is the sole responsibility of the owner and is not covered by this warranty. Wear items and expendable parts such as switches, bulbs, pilot lights, gauges, fuses, door gaskets, and control knobs are excluded from labor coverage. This warranty also excludes damage due to acts of God (e.g., flood, fire, lightning), shipping damage, or other causes beyond Asber’s control.
This warranty is the exclusive and sole warranty provided by Asber for its distribution equipment. It supersedes and replaces all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Asber shall not be liable under any circumstances for incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, profit, business opportunity, or food spoilage, regardless of the cause. Asber’s total liability is limited, at its election, to repair, replacement, or refund of the original purchase price.
To validate warranty coverage, the product must be registered online at: asberamerica.com. All service requests must be directed to the ONNERA USA Service Department by calling 877-693-3372 or emailing us.service@onneragroup.com. All claims must include model and serial numbers, installation date, proof of purchase, and full documentation of the defect.
Asber is not responsible for visible or concealed damage incurred during shipping. All shipments must be inspected at delivery. Any damage must be noted on the carrier’s receipt and reported immediately. All packaging and crating materials must be retained for inspection. Claims for shipping damage must be filed directly with the carrier.
Cancelled orders and returned equipment are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee. Returns will only be accepted within thirty (30) days of the invoice date and must be pre-authorized in writing. Returned equipment must be shipped freight prepaid in the original factory crate and be in unused, resalable condition.
